COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Gamecock running back Marcus Lattimore is getting high honors this week.
Lattimore has been selected as the conference's Co-Offensive Player of the Week after his performance against Navy over the weekend. The SEC office announced the honor Monday.
Rivals.com also named the six-foot, 232 pound star National SEC Player of the Week. CollegeFootballPerformance.com selected Lattimore for their honorable mention list.
He is credited for a career-high 246 yards on 37 carries in Saturday's narrow 24-21 victory. Those 246 yards come out to be the fourth-highest single-game gains in South Carolina history, only 32 yards away from the record.
The Gamecocks take on 3-0 conference foe Vanderbilt Saturday. Both teams have a 1-0 SEC record on the year.
