NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- An aerospace supply firm is locating in South Carolina near the state's new Boeing 787 assembly plant and could eventually create as many as 350 jobs for the area.

The InterTech Group said Wednesday its aerospace subsidiary, TIGHITCO, will build a new plant in North Charleston.

The initial phase is expected to be completed in about a year. Depending on customer demand, the plant could more than double in size and create as many as 350 jobs.

The company makes aviation products including insulation and molded assemblies for aircraft. It has other locations in Georgia, Connecticut and Mexico.
