COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia says he'll be ready for whatever role comes his way with the 12th-ranked Gamecocks, the same way he has done the past five seasons.

Garcia is back as starter a week after sitting the first quarter of South Carolina's 56-37 victory over East Carolina. The Gamecocks trailed 17-0 with Garcia on the sidelines and sophomore Connor Shaw running the offense. Garcia rallied South Carolina as he rushed for two touchdowns and threw for a third.

Garcia will prepare the same this week as the Gamecocks begin Southeastern Conference plat at Georgia on Saturday.
