Republican Joshua Putnam won the general election for the District 10 House seat and will now head to Columbia as the youngest South Carolina representative at 22 years old.

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina, AP) - Republican Joshua Putnam won the general election for the District 10 House chair in a landslide over Constitution Party candidate Dave Ballard.Putnam received 85 percent of the votes and will now head to Columbia as the youngest South Carolina representative at 22 years old.
There was no Democrat in the race.
Putnam fills the seat given up by Piedmont Rep. Dan Cooper at the end of the last legislative session.
He says he is excited to head to the State House to start working for his constituents.
"It feels great," Putnam says, "...it's a humbling experience to have the vote of the people in Anderson District 10 and to get to represent them in the State House."
Only about 1,200 of the 23,000 registered voters in the district took part in Tuesday's voting
