Lexington (WACH)—Free Stuff! That is the eye catching headline that inspired the Tyler’s Travels Team to head out to Lexington and spend the morning with Barron and Sherry Keel of Dance Expressions.
Over time, they have collected clothes, toys, shoes, irons, electric razors and the list goes on and on. Their plan was to box up the nearly 2 decades of stuff and drop it off at a thrift shop, but decided to do something else with it first.
Reasoning that thrift shops provide items, often inexpensively, for families who have fallen on hard times, the Keels elected to take out the middle man, and give the things they have collected over their 17 year marriage to people who may need them for free.
On Saturday, they are opening the doors to their dance studio, and inviting the community to come by, and shop…and by shop, I mean walk out the door with stuff, at no cost. With items ranging from family games to shoes and little itty bitty Gamecock sweatshirts, families in Lexington will find piles of goods to help them get through some lean times.
Barron and Sherry hope that the community will take them up on the offer Saturday morning, and will open their doors at 7:00. Dance Expressions is located at 821 G East Main St. in Lexington, behind “The Deli.” You can call 803.586.3139 with any questions or information.
