BEAUFORT, S.C. (AP) -- All six squadrons of F-18 jet fighters are home at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort and that has resulted in an increase in noise complaints.

The Beaufort Gazette reported this is the first time in more than a year that all the jets have been at the base at the same time.

Lt. Sharon Hyland says the base usually gets one or two noise complaints each month. Hyland says there have been about a half-dozen complaints per month this summer.

Hyland says some of the jets will be deploying again soon.
