CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Republican presidential hopeful Jon Huntsman is participating in a town hall meeting on the South Carolina coast.
The former Utah governor is attending the event Sunday in Charleston hosted by South Carolina freshman congressman Tim Scott.
Scott says he hopes to host all of the Republican presidential hopefuls at similar meetings during the coming months. U.S. Rep. Michelle Bachmann of Minnesota is expected to attend a similar town hall meeting on Aug. 25.
Several Charleston area political organizations are joining with Scott in sponsoring the event.
