NEWBERRY (WACH) -- Students returning to one Midlands college this fall will notice some major changes.

Officials at Newberry College unveiled Scar, their new mascot, Tuesday.  The school has officially switched from being the Indians to the Wolves.

"They now have a brand.  They have a logo.  They have something they can get excited about," says Athletics Director Robin Muller.  "I can't wait for them to come back on campus and can see their gear with this logo, see the helmets, see the football field and the banners and flags that we have up on campus."

But the new mascot isn't the only changes students will notice.

Officials also announced a new logo and website along with several facility renovations and additions.
