SPARTANBURG (AP) -- A Spartanburg County community is raising money to help pay the medical bills of two boys severely injured when a children's train ride derailed earlier this year.

The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reports that the family of Camden and Morgan Harris has already been hit with a $250,000 medical bill, and the boys face more surgery and rehabilitation.

The boys were taking their first ride on the popular miniature train ride at Cleveland Park in March, when it went off the rails and into a ditch, killing a 6-year-old boy and injuring 27.

Five-year-old Morgan has since had two brain surgeries. He attended Saturday's fundraiser in Inman with his grandparents. Eight-year-old Camden stayed home with his mom. He underwent a 10th surgery Friday on the leg nearly severed in the crash.
