SUMTER, S.C. (AP) -- Deputies say a Sumter man has been arrested in the shooting death of his 23-year-old cousin.

Sumter County Sheriff Anthony Dennis says deputies responding to a shooting on Saturday found Marcus Lewis lying on the floor inside a home. Dennis says Lewis had been shot, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say 22-year-old John Calvin Lewis turned himself in to Sumter County deputies on Sunday. He has been charged with murder, and it wasn't known if he had an attorney.

Authorities are still investigating the shooting. They say the two men were cousins.
