COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Wednesday was a typical July day for the Midlands regarding the weather.  And Thursday is shaping up to be exactly the same.

Highs in the mid 90s and a southerly wind fueling moisture from the the Gulf of Mexico will make for another hot and humid day.

By the afternoon hours, scattered thunderstorms will fire up across the state.  As always, you can`t rule out any of these storms reaching severe limits.  Also, flash flooding will be a concern with any heavy downpours.
