COLUMBIA (WACH, AP) -- The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles is allowing residents to enter emergency contact information that will be stored with their driving records.
The information won't be printed on driver's licenses and can only be accessed by law enforcement or medical personnel in an emergency.
Drivers can enter the addresses and work, home and cell phone numbers of two different contacts at the DMV's website.
You can visit the site by clicking on this link.
Will you share your contact information out of concern for safety, or don't you want to share it with the government? Leave your thoughts below to give us your opinion.
