ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) -- A North Carolina man has drowned in Lake Hartwell in South Carolina.

Anderson County Deputy Coroner Charlie Boseman says 20-year-old Joaquin Zavaleta-Astudillo of Hendersonville, N.C. drowned early Monday afternoon.

The Anderson County sheriff's office dive team found the body in about 10 feet of water shortly before 4 p.m.

Boseman says Zavaleta-Astudillo was at the lake with his brother.

Sheriff's Sgt. Jacob Bowland says it appeared the man became exhausted while swimming.
