ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) -- A Rock Hill man has died after being injured in a pair of knee-boarding accidents on South Carolina lakes.
The Herald of Rock Hill reports that 19-year-old John Robert Clinton was injured Sunday after hitting his head on the water at Lake Wateree.
His uncle says Clinton was declared dead Monday afternoon, but his body was left on life support because some of his organs were being donated. Clinton was also injured about three weeks ago while knee-boarding on Lake Wylie.
Relatives say Clinton was a rising Clemson University sophomore studying industrial engineering, was active in his fraternity and loved water sports.
