ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina troopers are looking for a vehicle involved in a crash that killed a mother of five in Orangeburg.
Orangeburg County Coroner Samuetta Marshall says 33-year-old Sharhonda Brown was killed before 5 a.m. Thursday when she was hit just outside city limits.
The Highway Patrol says investigators found Brown at about 5:15 a.m. and rushed her to a hospital, where she later died.
Lance Cpl. Judd Jones says the driver may have been driving south on Belleville Road in a light-colored SUV.
Jones says the driver may not have known Brown had been hit. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Highway Patrol.
