KERSHAW COUNTY (WACH) -- Deputies in Kershaw County are crediting a community tip for a successful drug raid.
Investigators say they seized cocaine, in both crack and powder form, marijuana and several weapons from a drug house on Springvale Road.
During the raid officials arrested 29-year-old Alvin Wise and 28-year-old Sylvester Johnson.
Sheriff Jim Matthews says Wise is a known drug dealer in Camden.
"Wise has an extensive criminal record with numerous drug arrests, many of which were dismissed, which troubles me," Matthews explains. "We are in consultation with the federal authorities at this time and will seek federal prosecution of Wise. He is a danger to our community and needs to be off the streets of Kershaw County.”
Wise and Johnson are being held at the Kershaw County Detention Center until they get a bond hearing.
