SOUTH CONGAREE (WACH) -- A Columbia woman is being charged in a fatal Lexington County crash that killed a young girl last month.
Officials say 24-year-old Caitlin Braun was driving under the influence when she hit another vehicle and killed 4-year-old Gabrielle Shumate on May 16 in South Congaree. Shumate's father, Devin, was also hit and hospitalized.
Braun was serving alcohol at a golf tournament the day of the collision, according to investigators.
She is expected in court for a bond hearing at 3 p.m. Monday.
South Congaree police continue their investigation into the crash.
