COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina has set up a new hotline for people to anonymously report fraud, waste and abuse.

The state has had fraud reporting lines for years, but Gov. Nikki Haley and her new inspector general are giving the approach new visibility and a new number, 1-855-723-7283 or 1-855-SCFRAUD.

Haley said it gives people who see waste a chance to report it and shows them that Inspector General George Schroeder will investigate the reports.
