COLUMBIA (WACH) -- The Marines are looking for a few good men and women...to volunteer to help with the bi-annual USMC Mud Run.

The Columbia Opportunity Resource and Greater Columbia Marine Foundation are looking for more than 500 people to donate their time and make this spring's event a success.

The race that tests the endurance of participants will take place April 16.

The positions available are to assist the participants who run the 5.2 mile, 34 obstacle course.

Anyone interested can sign up for one of two shifts or sign up for the whole day.  Shifts run from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Volunteers will get a free meal, t-shirt and an invitation to the after party.
