AIKEN, S.C. (AP) -- A 25-year-old North Augusta man has pleaded guilty to murder in the 2009 shooting death of a man in Aiken County.
The Aiken Standard reported that Tyrone Wade was sentenced Monday to 30 years in prison.
The guilty plea came the day Wade was to go on trial for the death of 26-year-old Julius Walker of North Augusta.
Prosecutors say Wade admitted entering Walker's home with two other men. Cordarell Jamal Miller of North Augusta and Ian Christian Martin of Wilson, N.C., are awaiting trial.
Walker's roommate says he heard two shots and found Walker in the doorway of his bedroom. The roommate said he saw three men run from the house.
