COLUMBIA (WACH, AP) -- With spring upon us, USC has re-opened its popular campus farmers market.
In its third year, the Healthy Carolina Farmer's Market features locally produced goods including fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, seafood and homemade goods.
University officials say the event draws around 1,000 people each week. Organizers are quick to point out that the green movement is growing and give credit to USC President Dr. Harris Pastides and the USC Sustainability Committee for jumping on board.
The market is open Tuesdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. from March 22 through April 19 in front of the Russell House.
