COLUMBIA (WACH) - The weekend brought us onimous skies, rainfall and breezy conditions. The good news is, it's all coming to an end. Expect things to clear out by late this evening and make way for sunshine for the early part of the work week.
A cold front responsible for igniting severe weather along the Gulf Coast on Saturday has now shifted eastward across the state. The passing front whipped up gusty winds today prompting a Lake Wind Advisory for area lakes. Expect winds to calm down through this afternoon as the front clears the area.
High pressure will set up a nice start to the week with seasonal highs and sunny skies.
By mid-week another frontal system will work through the area bringing with it the chance for rain and storms.
