SUMTER (WACH) -- A two month undercover drug investigation sends a Sumter store owner to jail.

Authorities executed a search warrant at Monzingo’s Grocery located at 3350 North Main Street in Sumter on Thursday.

Investigators say they confiscated two illegal poker machines, drug paraphernalia and about 4,835 prescription pills.

Police arrested Ravindrabhai Patel.

He faces several charges from the investigation, including illegal possession of prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities say the prescription bills were valued at approximately $82,195.

Police also seized $16, 748 in cash.

Mr. Patel is being held at the Sumter/Lee Regional Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
