COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Two senior executives from the worlds of finance and investment are lecturing in Columbia on the issue of leadership in the world's changing business environment.

The University of South Carolina says John Bachman, managing partner with the investment firm Edward Jones, and John Sykes, chairman of JHS Capital Holdings, are speaking Tuesday at the Darla Moore School of Business.

The men are addressing the topic of leadership as firms prepare to do business in the world's competitive marketplace.

Bachman is a former chairman of the Securities Association and chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Sykes is also chairman of NorthStar Banking Corporation and NorthStar Bank.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
