COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Gov. Nikki Haley's choices to lead South Carolina's juvenile justice and parks agencies can officially start their jobs.

The Senate voted Thursday to confirm Margaret Barber as juvenile justice director and Duane Parrish to lead the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism.

That leaves just one Cabinet director for confirmation.

A Senate committee voted earlier Thursday to approve Haley's pick to run the state Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services. The full Senate will likely vote on Kela Thomas next week.

The committee also approved a bill that would merge the agency with Corrections. Thomas was nominated after Lynn Rogers decided for personal reasons not to take the job and stay at Labor, Licensing and Regulation.
