COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Major construction is set to take place along the entire length of Gervais St.

Columbia officials want your feedback.  They'll host a special public meeting this Wednesday to answer your questions or concerns at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

The city hired Carolina Tap and Bore, Inc of West Columbia to renovate the city's aged water system.

The contractor will be responsible for replacing water mains and customer service lines, which will leave the street torn up from Huger Street to Trenholm Road.
