COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South University is officially dedicating its new pharmacy school in Columbia.
Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin is expected to attend the ceremony, lunch and tour of the new school Thursday at Carolina Research Park in northeast Columbia.
South University Chancellor John South and Dr. Jennifer Baker of the South Carolina Pharmacy Association are also scheduled to attend.
South University's School of Pharmacy in Columbia ushered in its first class of students in June for an accelerated three-year doctor of pharmacy program.
The school offers associate, bachelor's, master's and doctorate level coursework at campuses in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.
