COLUMBIA (WACH) -- A state lawmaker has pre-filed a measure that would ban the practice known as bear baying.

Columbia Senator Joel Lourie said he was appalled by videos that show dogs running and jumping at chained, declawed bears.

South Carolina is currently the only state where bear baying is legal.
