COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and South Carolina's state police are helping round up food donations for those in need.

The State Law Enforcement Division is working with Harvest Hope Food Bank on Thursday for a food drive at the police headquarters in Columbia.

SLED is partnering with Bi-Lo Charities, which has donated hundreds of pounds of pork, hot dogs, baked beans, chips and tea, plus $500 in gift cards.

State police have been using that food to sell $5 lunches, with the proceeds going to Harvest Hope.
