COLUMBIA (WACH) -- The latest batch of Columbia's finest was sworn in Friday with friends and family watching.

The ceremony marks the first set of CPD graduates since Interim Police Chief Randy Scott took over the leadership role last week.

They'll still have to wait at least nine weeks before they hit the streets.  Their next stop is the Criminal Justice Academy.

Chief Scott encourages anyone interested in Law enforcement to contact the Columbia City Police Department.
