COLUMBIA,SC (WACH) -- The South Carolina Gamecocks move up nine spots in The Associated Press college football poll after their win against Alabama Saturday.
South Carolina ranks 10th in The Associated Press poll and 12 in the USA Today poll. Alabama is ranked eighth in The AP and USA Today polls.
The jump in rankings for South Carolina comes after an impressive 35-21 victory over the Crimson Tide. Saturday's win is the Gamecock's first victory against a top-ranked team.
Alabama's fall from grace puts Ohio State at No. 1 in the AP Top 25. The last time Ohio State was No. 1 was the final regular season poll of 2007.
Oregon is No. 2, followed by Boise State, TCU, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Auburn.
