COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina gubernatorial candidates Nikki Haley and Vincent Sheheen have agreed to a third debate, this one in Spartanburg.

The Republican Haley and Democrat Sheheen have agreed to the debate for Tuesday, Oct. 19.

They had previously agreed on two debates later in October. They will debate on South Carolina Educational Television on Oct. 25. The next day, they will face off at Francis Marion University in Florence.

The candidates have sparred over a debate schedule.

On Aug. 30, Sheheen pushed for five debates across the state on five topics, in which they'd question each other. Two weeks ago, Haley announced accepting four debate invitations from TV stations. Sheheen said her campaign never contacted him about them.
