COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Green Party candidate Morgan Reeves is questioning why he is being left out of gubernatorial debates and while he pushes for cooperation, some of his supporters pitching separation.
Reeves and backer Tee Ferguson, of the African American Policy Council pushed education reform Wednesday morning at the State House.
The plan would include military style schooling for black students, and if necessary, Ferguson suggests segregating the public school system.
When pressed on the issue, Reeves would not echo his colleague's take on segregation.
"Segregation is wrong," Reeves explained to a small crowd. "It's been wrong in the past and it's wrong forever. The strength I like to bring out in South Carolina is red, white, blue and green people, we must work together."
Reeves told WACH Fox News earlier this week that he had filed a $40 billion lawsuit against the organizers of an October debate for not inviting him. Reeves says Wednesday that he has yet to file the suit against Francis Marion University, Coastal Carolina, WBTW and the Morning News.
Reeves says he expects the suit to be in the courts by next week.
