NEWBERRY COUNTY (WACH) -- An early morning argument in Newberry County has left a man shot and deputies looking for three suspects.
Shortly after 2:30 Friday morning deputies were called to Hendrix Road in response to a shooting. Investigators say there were several people arguing in the road over a girl.
Deputies say someone pulled out a pistol during that argument and shot 27-year-old Ernest Goree in the chest. Goree was taken to Newberry hospital and he was then airlifted to Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia.
Newberry County investigators are searching for three men they say are linked to the shooting. Deputies are looking for Bryant Markevius Sims, 23, described as a black male, 5-foot-8 and 135 pounds. They are also looking for Kalvin Earl Sims, 27, described as a black male, 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds. Authorities say the third man is Antwan Markell Sims, 21, described as a black male, 6-foot-1 and 145 pounds.
The three suspects are brothers. Investigators say Bryant Sims shot the victim, then all three men fled the scene in a burgundy or sandy brown Nissan Altima.
Authorities say the three men will be charged with attempted murder and have been entered as wanted persons nationwide.
