COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Morgan Reeves is fighting to the finish. The Green Party gubernatorial candidate pounded the pavement Wednesday, protesting against South Carolina’s political establishment.
“I am fighting for the working class. “The Republicans and Democrats care nothing about our citizens. I am the only candidate from the private-sector,” Reeves said.
While protesting, Reeves managed to shake a few hands, hoping to gain voters.
“He is very inexperienced,” says South Carolina Democratic Chair Carol Fowler. “If standing in front of your opponents' headquarters and holding signs would get you votes, they would all be out there.”
Reeves also made an appearance at the Republican Party headquarters. Executive Director Joel Sawyer declined to comment to WACH Fox News.
Reeves blames discrimination for why he's not getting the same attention as Nikki Haley and Vincent Sheheen.
“I don't know how effective throwing a lot of protests would be, if no one knows you,” said Roman Chester of Lexington.
Reeves adds that he hasn't been asked to take part in any gubernatorial debates.
“I want South Carolina to work together and look at one another's talent, rather than dividing and conquering,” Reeves said.
As for changing his election strategy, Reeves believes he is on the right road, one that leads to the governor's mansion.
