COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) --The Main Street Marketplace is an open-air market featuring fresh produce, baked goods, specialty gifts, art, photography, books, handmade and unique crafts, prepared foods, Pets Inc. and much more.

Live entertainment will be performed at the market every Friday. At the corner of Hampton and Main downtown. Free admission.

Vendors say it gives customers a different type of shopping experience.

"We go the extra mile for our customers, if they have a piece of jewelry that they've not been wearing and they want help redesigning it into something that they will wear," says Becky Ratz owner of Becky's Soap Shoppe in Camden, SC.

Complimentary shuttle service courtesy of City Center Partnership is available in the 36 block area downtown bounded by Gervais to Elmwood and Assembly to Marion Streets to pick up and drop off attendees.
