COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Senior athletes from across the Midlands are gearing up for the Olympics.
The Richland County Recreation Commission and the Columbia Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the 23rd Annual Midlands Area Senior Games.
Events include golf, blowing, swimming, ping pong and bingo.
Organizers say the event is competitive but all in good fun.
"If you like to compete, your kind of competitive natured, you like to get out there and have fun, this is the event for you," says Leigh Cheatham of the Richland County Recreation Commission.
The games are September 20 through 23. Participants must register by September 23. The cost is $13.
