COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Many people are preparing to put on their shopping shoes as the South Carolina back to school tax free weekend quickly approaches.
Starting Friday August 6 and running through Sunday August 8, shoppers will be exempt from state and local taxes as they shop for school items.
Items exempt include clothing and accessories, footwear, school supplies like pens, pencils, notebooks, bookbags and computers.
