NEWBERRY (WACH) -- Officials say there are many concerns coming from the community about the death of a Winnsboro black man who was fatally shot, then dragged behind a truck for 10 miles on rural roads last month.

The Newberry County Sheriff's Department along with SLED and the U.S. Attorney General's Office have announced they'll hold a joint community meeting Thursday to address those worries and questions.

The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at the Newberry High School mini theatre on July 8.  Anyone interested is encouraged to attend.

Deputies arrested 19-year-old Gregory Collins of Newberry the day they found the body of 30-year-old Anthony Hill lying dead in the middle of the road.

Authorities continue their investigation and say they are committed to a thorough, timely investigation and prosecution of this case.

If you have any information in this case, you're urged to contact CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
