COLUMBIA (AP) -- The results of South Carolina's primary runoffs are now official.
State election officials certified the results on Friday. They also scheduled a recount in the 6th Congressional District, the lone recount required from the balloting for state and federal races.
Only 112 votes cast among nearly 27,300 separated the two Republicans seeking to challenge U.S. House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn.
Political newcomer Jim Pratt is leading 2008 GOP nominee Nancy Harrelson with 50.2 percent of the vote. State law requires an automatic recount when the difference is less than a percentage point.
The recount will be at 10 a.m. Monday.
