COLUMBIA -- COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Parents and their teens got an important lesson on the dangers of distracted driving.
AllState hosted their Family Driving Challenge Wednesday.
Teens and their parents took turns on the course trying to avoid cones and focus on the road.
Young driver Lauren Brown says she had trouble on the course when she was on her phone.
"It's pretty difficult, the distractions like texting and talking on the phone," Brown explains.
Officials say young drivers learn most of their driving habits from their parents, so naturally parents were invited too.
