Columbia (WACH) -- Vincent Sheheen won Tuesday's Democratic gubernatorial nomination and will face the winner of a June 22 Haley/Barrett runoff in the November General Election.
Sheheen cruised to victory Tuesday with 59 percent of the vote.
He celebrated the win in Camden and sat down with WACH Fox News on Good Day Columbia Wednesday morning.
Sheheen says the key to economic recovery is bringing business to the state.
"I think what we have to have in the next governor is someone who is personally committed and has the experience to build and grow business in South Carolina, to partner with the private sector and recruit industry in the state," Sheheen said.
He beat out Education Superintendent Jim Rex and Senator Robert Ford Tuesday.
