COLUMBIA -- With the state's primary election just days away, WACH Fox News caught up with two of the three candidates in the race for the GOP Lieutenant Governor nomination.
Bill Connor is an attorney and Army Reserve Officer who says he has a plan to bring more jobs to South Carolina.
"Give me a chance and I will work my tail off for South Carolina," he says. "I've learned that through commissioned service, 20 years as an officer, 18 to 20 hour days in the war zone, I want to take back here. I was called to this like I was called to go overseas. I want to make South Carolina a bright city on a hill."
Larry Richter is currently an attorney, but also a former state senator and former circuit court judge.
He's authorized major pieces of legislation for the state and says he will fight for the elderly if elected.
"I am clearly your best candidate," Richter says. "My experience base, my age, my lack of political ambition in the sense of seeking a launching pad; that's what I'm about. I'm about serving. I've done extraordinary things and I think the public should consider those."
WACH Fox News also extended an invitation to candidate Ken Ard. We're still waiting to hear from him.
