COLUMBIA -- Military personnel and their families now have a place to rest and relax at Columbia Metropolitan Airport.

The USO Lounge serves the more than 140,000 troops that travel through the airport each year.

The lounge features drinks, snacks and is just a good place to kick back.

But the lounge needs your help.

"Everything needs to be individually packaged, whether you want to drop off sodas, diet or regular, or juice boxes for the kids.  We definitely needs snacks," explains Joanie Thresher, who runs the lounge.

If you have items to donate you can drop them off at the airport.

USO Volunteers will even unload the supplies from your car.
