COLUMBIA -- Newly appointed Interim Department of Employment and Workforce Director John Finan was on hand as Governor Mark Sanford held a cabinet meeting Tuesday.
Hot topics included a reduction of paper in many agencies such as DMV and the implementation of new healthcare standards.

The Boeing Dreamliner was just one example of new firms that the state has brought in to increase research and service jobs.
All in all, Department of Commerce head Joe Taylor holds a positive outlook.
"When you look at the companies that are moving into South Carolina today, they are the best of the best," he explains.
Taylor says that the state's job posting increase at the end of the year and how it compared to the national rate is a very good indicator of what kind of opportunities are out there.
