COLUMBIA (AP) -- The Army's largest training installation is taking two days to show support and appreciation for the military retirees in the region by hosting a parade, sporting events, and events to improve their overall health.

Fort Jackson is inviting retirees to be honored Friday at its Basic Combat Training graduation ceremony, where hundreds of new soldiers finish their first training cycle.

Later, the retirees will be treated to participate in a golf tournament and a special dinner at the Officer's Club.

On Saturday, a military parade will be held in their honor.

The retirees are invited to attend an exposition and health fair to keep them informed about the latest services available to them.
