COLUMBIA -- Funds are still coming in after a devastating quake shook Haiti.

Richland One Superintendent Dr. Percy Mack presented a check for $20,000 to Scott Salemme, CEO of the American Red Cross of Central South Carolina.

The "3 for 3" program raised funds through community and in-district support.

"People saw on television and heard on the radio the things that were happening in Haiti.  People rallied to the cause," says Dr. Mack.

"We're excited to be able to help," adds Mack, saying that the devastation that happened in Haiti affects everyone because it could be anyone.

"You look at natural catastrophes, they can happen anywhere. So, as we help today, there may come a day when we need someone's help."
