Documents containing personal info thrown away

The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating.

COLUMBIA -- Documents thrown in a dumpster behind the Department of Health and Environment Control contained personal information according to the State Law Enforcement Division.

SLED is doing a preliminary investigation at the request of DHEC.

They are currently trying to figure out how the documents ended up in that dumpster and if any laws were broken by throwing them away.
