TAYLORS, S.C. (AP) -- A South Carolina man has been identified as the victim in a mobile home fire.

Multiple media outlets reported an autopsy was planned Thursday on the body of 51-year-old Milton G. Clardy of Taylors.

Greenville County Deputy Coroner Tom Selfridge says Clardy was identified Wednesday night through fingerprints.

Firefighters were called to a mobile home in the Lake Cunningham community about 3:15 a.m. Wednesday. Lake Cunningham Fire Chief Tommy Norris says the home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived and was destroyed. He says the body was found in a bedroom.

Sheriff's Deputy Melissia McKinney says the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
