At first glance it looks to be a wet road but a closer look shows water bubbling up through the middle of Pickens Street right in front of the Wach Fox News studios. The water runs almost four city blocks before finding a drain and residents are wondering why no one has addressed this issue.
“I don't see why it's necessary to wait to fix a problem that’s clearly this huge”.
“It's not very eco friendly to have clean water draining from the streets I mean it's a mess right now”.
There are several new cracks in the road and the excess water is making it tricky for those driving down Pickens Street.
“There are a lot of young drivers here and we don't want to be getting in accidents and it’s definitely going to cause more if the ground is so soft and there are puddles everywhere”.
Late Monday night the City of Columbia marked the water and plan to repair the leak through the night.
